Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox had studied for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s was accepted. She lived off of a student allowance and took on part-time employment to augment her income. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and she pondered what alternative route she could take. Lennox began her career as a flute-player in the band Dragons Playground. But she quit prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. Between 1977 and 1980 she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her solo debut album Diva and it was released around 1992. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera, a collection four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. First album of hers"Now I'm Letting You go... It is an accompaniment to her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some success in the late 1970s. Later, Lennox became a part of the band with her fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox launched a solo career with her debut album Diva which yielded numerous successful songs includingWhy andWalking through Broken Glass.
